The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Rejoice, Ammar, the transgressing party will kill you."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: أبشر يا عمار، تقتلك الفئة الباغية.
Tirmidhi (3800), Bazzar (8337), and Abu Yaala (6524) all narrated it through various routes from Ala bin Abdul-Rahman, from his father (who is Abdul-Rahman bin Yaqub Harqi), from Abu Hurairah, who related it. Tirmidhi and Bazzar both presented it in this abbreviated form, while Abu Yaala related the story in full, saying, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was building the masjid, and whenever the people carried one stone, Ammar would carry two, and whenever they carried one brick, he would carry two. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Woe to the son of Sumayyah, the rebellious faction will kill him."Its chain is hasan because of Ala bin Abdul-Rahman Harqi, whose hadith is hasan. Tirmidhi said, "Hasan sahih ghareeb from the hadith of Ala bin Abdul-Rahman."
