The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near, from a tribulation that is blind, deaf, and dumb. The one who sits during it is better than the one who stands, the one who stands during it is better than the one who walks, and the one who walks during it is better than the one who runs. Woe to the one who runs into it from Allah the Exalted on the Day of Resurrection."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ويل للعرب من شر قد اقترب، من فتنة عمياء صماء بكماء، القاعد فيها خير من القائم، والقائم فيها خير من الماشي، والماشي فيها خير من الساعي، ويل للساعي فيها من الله تعالى يوم القيامة.
Naeem bin Hammad narrated it in al-Fitan (461), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (6705), both from the hadith of Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad Darawardi, from Thawr bin Zayd, from Abu Ghayth (that is, Salim al-Madani), from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Its chain is hasan due to Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad Darawardi, for his hadith is hasan.His statement, "The one sitting during it is better than the one standing... and the one walking during it is better than the one running," is agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim] from the hadith of Abu Hurairah, and it is mentioned in its place.
