The hypocrites today are worse than they were in the time of the Prophet ﷺ. Back then they used to conceal it, but today they do so openly.
إن المنافقين اليوم شر منهم على عهد النبي ﷺ، كانوا يومئذ يسرون، واليوم يجهرون.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on tribulations (7113), from Adam bin Abu Iyas, who said, Shuba narrated to us, from Wasil the hunchback, from Abu Waail, from Huzaifa bin Yaman, who said, then he mentioned it.
