I asked, "Messenger of Allah, will there be any evil after this good we are in that we should beware of?"He replied, "Hudhayfah, hold fast to the Book of Allah. Learn it and follow what is in it." He said this to me three times.I said, "Yes."
قلت: يا رسول الله، أبعد هذا الخير الذي نحن فيه من شر نحذره؟ قال: يا حذيفة، عليك بكتاب الله فتعلمه، واتبع ما فيه، حتى قال لك ثلاث مرات، قلت: نعم.
Ibn Hibban (117) and Bayhaqi in Shuab (1719) both narrated it through the route of Uthman bin Abu Shayba, who said, Jareer bin Abdul-Hameed narrated to us, from Misar bin Kidam, (Bayhaqi added, and Sufyan Thawri), from Amr bin Mura, from Abdullah bin Samit, from Huzaifa, and he related it. The wording is Bayhaqi's. Its chain of transmission is sahih.
