By Allah, I know more than anyone about every trial that will occur between now and the Hour. It is not that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ confided to me something he told no one else, but rather the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, while speaking to a gathering in which I was present, about the trials. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, as he was enumerating the trials, said, "Among them are three that will leave hardly anything untouched, and among them are trials like the winds of summer, some small and some great."Hudhayfah said, "All of those who were in that gathering have passed away except me."
والله إني لأعلم الناس بكل فتنة هي كائنة فيما بيني وبين الساعة، وما بي إلا أن يكون رسول الله ﷺ أسر إلي في ذلك شيئا لم يحدثه غيري، ولكن رسول الله ﷺ قال وهو يحدث مجلسا أنا فيه عن الفتن، فقال رسول الله ﷺ وهو يعد الفتن: منهن ثلاث لا يكذن يذرن شيئا، ومنهن فتن كرياح الصيف، منها صغار، ومنها كبار. قال حذيفة: فذهب أولئك الرهط كلهم غيري.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Tribulations and Signs of the Hour (2891:22) from Harmala bin Yahya Tujibi, who said, Ibn Wahb told us, Yunus told me, from Ibn Shihab, that Abu Idris Khawlani used to say, Huzaifa bin Yaman said, and then he mentioned it.
