I was behind Abu Hurairah while he was performing wudu for prayer. He extended his hand all the way up to his armpit. I asked him, "What is this, Abu Hurairah?"He replied, "Sons of Farrukh, are you here? Had I known you were here, I would not have performed wudu in this manner. I heard my dear friend ﷺ say, 'The adornment of the believer will reach as far as the wudu reaches.'"
كنت خلف أبي هريرة وهو يتوضأ للصلاة، فكان يمد يده حتى تبلغ إبطه، فقلت له: ما هذا يا أبا هريرة؟ فقال: يا بني فروح! أنتم ههنا؟ لو علمت أنكم ههنا ما توضأت هذا الوضوء، سمعت خليلي ﷺ يقول: تبلغ الحلية من المؤمن حيث يبلغ الوضوء.
