Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

Umm Hufayd, the maternal aunt of Ibn Abbas, gave the Prophet ﷺ a gift of dried curd, clarified butter, and lizards. The Prophet ﷺ ate from the dried curd and the clarified butter, but left the lizard out of distaste.Ibn Abbas said, "It was eaten at the table of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and had it been forbidden, it would not have been eaten at the table of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."In another wording, "Had they been forbidden, they would not have been eaten at his table, nor would he have permitted them to be eaten."
