They asked Anas about the ring of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once delayed the evening prayer until midnight, or nearly midnight. Then he came out and said, 'The people have prayed and gone to sleep, but you have remained in prayer as long as you waited for it.'"Anas said, "It is as if I can still see the gleam of his silver ring," and he raised his left hand, pointing with his little finger.
Muslim narrated it in Masajid (640:22) from Abu Bakr bin Nafi Abdi, who said, Bahz bin Assad Ammi told us, Hammad bin Salama told us, from Thabit, and he related it. Bukhari narrated it in Mawaqit al-Salah (572) through another route from Anas, mentioning the waiting for the prayer, and Bukhari said, Ibn Abu Maryam added, Yahya bin Ayub told us, Humayd told me, he heard Anas say, "It is as if I can see the gleam of his ring that night while it was hanging."
