The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs ablution and does it well, his sins leave his body, even from beneath his fingernails."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من توضأ فأحسن الوضوء خرجت خطاياه من جسده، حتى تخرج من تحت أظفاره.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Purification (245), from Muhammad bin Muamar bin Rubai, who said, Abu Hisham Makhzumi told us, from Abdul-Wahid, (that is, Ibn Ziyad), who said, Uthman bin Hakeem told us, who said, Muhammad bin Munkadir told us, from Humran, from Uthman bin Affan. Then he related the hadith.
