The Prophet ﷺ granted Zubayr and Abdul-Rahman a special permission to wear silk because of an itch they suffered from.In another wording, because of an itch they had, or a pain they suffered from.
رخص النبي ﷺ للزبير وعبد الرحمن في لبس الحرير لحكة بهما. وفي لفظ: من حكة كانت بهما أو وجع كان بهما.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Clothing (5839), and Muslim in the Book of Clothing (2076:25), both through the route of Waki, from Shubah, from Qatada, from Anas, as mentioned. The other wording belongs to Muslim (24), from the narration of Saeed bin Abu Aruba, who said, Qatada narrated to us, with the same chain.
