Anas bin Malik was asked whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dyed his hair. He replied that he had not seen anything of grey hair on him except a small amount. Ibn Idris remarked that it was as though he was minimizing it. He added that Abu Bakr and Umar did dye their hair with henna and katam.
سئل أنس بن مالك هل خضب رسول الله ﷺ؟ قال: إنه لم يكن رأى من الشيب إلا-قال ابن إدريس: كأنه يقلله- وقد خضب أبو بكر، وعمر بالحناء والكتم.
