The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever grows a single grey hair in Islam, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من شاب شيبة في الإسلام كانت له نورا يوم القيامة.
Ibn Hibban (2983) narrated it from Ahmad bin Hasan bin Abdul-Jabbar Sufi in Baghdad, who said, Haytham bin Kharija (who was called Shubah the Younger) narrated to us, who said, Muhammad bin Himyar narrated to us, from Thabit bin Ajlan, from Salim bin Amir, who said, I heard Umar bin Khattab, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan on account of Muhammad bin Himyar, who is the son of Anees, and his teacher Thabit bin Ajlan, for the two of them make the hadith hasan. Aqeeli said of Thabit that he is not corroborated in his hadith, but Ibn Main deemed him trustworthy, and Nasai said, there is no harm in him.
