A woman was with me when the Prophet ﷺ came in. He asked, "Who is this?"I replied, "So-and-so. She does not sleep, she is mentioned for her prayer."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Stop. Take on only what you can sustain. By Allah, Allah does not tire until you tire."She said, the most beloved practice of religion to him was the one its doer maintained consistently.
كانت عندي امرأة، فدخل علي النبي ﷺ فقال: من هذه؟ قلت: فلانة، لا تنام تذكر من صلاتها- فقال النبي ﷺ: مة، عليكم بما تطيقون، فوالله لا يمل الله حتى تملوا. قالت: وكان أحب الدين إليه الذي يدوم عليه صاحبه.
Reported by Nasai (1642) and Ibn Majah (4238), and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih (1282), all of them through routes from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Ayesha, who narrated it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.
