A woman asked Ayesha, "May a menstruating woman apply henna?"She replied, "We used to be with the Prophet ﷺ applying henna, and he did not forbid us from doing so."
أن امرأة سألت عائشة قالت: تختضب الحائض؟ فقال: قد كنا عند النبي ﷺ و ونحن نختضب، فلم يكن ينهانا عنه.
Ibn Majah (656) reported it, he said, Muhammad bin Yahya told us, Hajjaj told us, Yazid bin Ibrahim told us, Ayub told us, from Muazah.Busiri said in Zawaid, "Its isnad is sahih, and Hajjaj is Ibn Minhal, and Ayub is Sakhtiyani." End of quote.
