When one of us was menstruating and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wished to be intimate with her, he would order her to wrap a waist-cloth around herself at the height of her menstruation, and then he would lie close to her.She said, "And which of you has as much control over his desire as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had over his desire?"
كانت إحدانا إذا كانت حائضا فأراد رسول الله ﷺ أن يباشرها أمرها أن تتزر في فور حيضتها، ثم يباشرها. قالت: وأيكم يملك إربه كما كان رسول الله ﷺ يملك إربه.
Bukhari narrated it in "Menstruation" (302), and Muslim in "Menstruation" (293), both of them through Ali bin Mushir, who said, Abu Ishaq, who is Shaybani, informed us, from Abdul-Rahman bin Aswad, from his father, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.
