The Prophet ﷺ said, "It would not please me to have gold equal to Mount Uhud which I would spend in the cause of Allah, and then on the day of my death leave behind a single Dinar of it, except a Dinar I set aside to repay a debt, if I owed one."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ died without leaving behind a Dinar, a dirham, a slave, or a servant. He left only his armor, which was pledged as security for thirty measures of barley.
Bazzar narrated it in Kashf Astar (3682) from Bishr bin Muaz Aqdi, who said, Abbad bin Awwam narrated to us, from Hilal bin Khabab, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan on account of Hilal bin Khabab and Bishr bin Muaz Aqdi, for they make the hadith hasan. Haythami also graded it hasan in al-Majma (10/326).
