A man passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who asked a man sitting beside him, "What is your opinion of this one?"He replied, "He is one of the noblest of people. By Allah, if he proposes marriage, he is worthy of being accepted. If he intercedes, his intercession is worthy of being granted."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent. Then another man passed by, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him, "What is your opinion of this one?"He replied, "Messenger of Allah, this is one of the poor Muslims. If he proposes marriage, he is likely to be refused. If he intercedes, his intercession is likely to be denied. If he speaks, he is likely to be ignored."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This man is better than an earth full of the likes of the other."
مر رجل على رسول الله ﷺ فقال لرجل عنده جالس: ما رأيك في هذا؟ فقال: رجل من أشراف الناس، هذا والله حري إن خطب أن ينكح، وإن شفع أن يشفع، قال فسكت رسول الله ﷺ، ثم مر رجل، فقال له رسول الله ﷺ: ما رأيك هذا؟ فقال: يا رسول الله، هذا رجل من فقراء المسلمين، هذا حري إن خطب أن لا ينكح، وإن شفع أن لا يشفع، وإن قال أن لا يسمع لقوله، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: هذا خير من ملء الأرض من مثل هذا.
