The Prophet ﷺ used to pray during the night while I was beside him, menstruating, with a woolen wrap covering me, part of which extended over him at his side.
كان النبي ﷺ يصلي من الليل وأنا إلى جنبه، وأنا حائض، وعلي مرط، وعليه بعضه إلى جنبه.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Prayer (514) from the hadith of Waki, who said, Talha bin Yahya narrated to us, from Ubaydullah bin Abdullah, from Ayesha, and she related the hadith.Al-mirt is a cloak. This hadith establishes the permissibility of praying in a garment part of which is on the one praying and part of which is on a menstruating woman or someone else.
