The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not laugh excessively, for excessive laughter deadens the heart."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لا تكثروا الضحك، فإن كثرة الضحك تميت القلب.
Ibn Majah (4193) and Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (253) both narrated it via Abu Bakr Hanafi (whose name was Abdul-Kabir bin Abdul-Majid Basri), who said, "Abdul-Hameed bin Jafar narrated to us, from Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Hunain, from Abu Hurairah," and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Abdul-Hameed bin Jafar Ansari, for his hadith is hasan.
