Whoever tells you that Muhammad concealed any part of the revelation, do not believe him, for Allah the Exalted says, "Messenger, convey what has been sent down to you from your Lord, for if you do not, you will not have delivered His message" [Maidah 5:67].
من حدثك أن محمدا كتم شيئا من الوحي فلا تصدقه، إن الله تعالى يقول: {يأيها الرسول بلغ ما أنزل إليك من ربك وإن لم تفعل فما بلغت رسالته}.
Bukhari reported it in "Tawheed" (7531) from Muhammad bin Yusuf, who said, Sufyan told us, from Ismail, from Shaybi, from Masruq, from Ayesha, and she mentioned something similar to it.On this subject there is also a report from Samura bin Jundab about the story of the eclipse, in the sermon of the Prophet ﷺ, in which he said, "O people, I appeal to you by Allah, if you know that I fell short in conveying any part of the messages of my Lord, tell me so now. I have conveyed the messages of my Lord as they ought to be conveyed. And if you know that I have conveyed the messages of my Lord, tell me so now."He said, "Some men stood up and said, 'We testify that you have indeed conveyed the messages of your Lord, and given sincere counsel to your nation, and fulfilled what was required of you.' Then they fell silent."Ahmad reported it (20178) from Abu Kamil, who said, Zuhayr told us, who said, Aswad bin Qays told us, who said, Thalaba bin Abbad Abdi, one of the people of Basra, told us, he said, "One day I attended a sermon given by Samura bin Jundab." He then mentioned in his sermon a hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying (and he went on to relate the sermon of the Prophet ﷺ in a long hadith).Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih (1397), as did Ibn Hibban (2852), and Hakim (1/329–330, 334), all of whom transmitted it through the route of Aswad bin Qays Abdi, by his chain of transmission, both abridged and in full.Hakim said, "Sahih according to the standard of the two Shaykhs." Dhahabi followed this by remarking, "Thalaba is unknown, and the two of them did not transmit anything from him."As for Thalaba bin Abbad Abdi Basri, no one transmitted from him except Aswad bin Qays. Ibn Madini listed him among the unknown narrators from whom Aswad bin Qays transmitted. Ibn Hazm and Ibn Qattan said, "Unknown." Ibn Hibban listed him in "Thiqat", and for this reason Hafiz described him as "acceptable," meaning if corroborated, otherwise the hadith is weak, following the terminology Hafiz adopted.Dhahabi mentioned him in "Mizan" and quoted from Ibn Madini, "Aswad transmits from unknown narrators." Ibn Hazm said, "Thalaba is unknown."
