The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is not permissible for a Muslim to shun another Muslim for more than three days. If he meets him and greets him with peace three times, and the other does not respond to him, then he has borne his sin."
أن رسول ﷺ قال: لا يكون لمسلم أن يهجر مسلما فوق ثلاثة، فإذا لقيه سلم عليه ثلاث مرار كل ذلك لا يرد عليه فقد باء بإثمه.
Abu Dawud (4913) and Abu Yaala (4583) both reported it through Muhammad bin Muthanna, who said, Muhammad bin Khalid bin Uthma narrated to us, Abdullah bin Munib, that is, al-Madani, narrated to us, saying, Hisham bin Urwa informed me, from Urwa, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Khalid bin Uthma and his teacher Abdullah bin Munib al-Madani, for the two of them make the hadith hasan.
