I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of the Conquest and found him bathing, with his daughter Fatimah screening him with a garment.
ذهبت إلى رسول الله ﷺ عام الفتح، فوجدته يغتسل، وفاطمة ابنته تستره بثوب.
Malik narrated it in Kitab Qasr al-Salah (28), from Abu Nadr, freedman of Umar bin Ubaydullah, that Abu Mura, freedman of Aqeel bin Abu Talib, informed him that he heard Umm Hani bint Abu Talib say, and then he mentioned the hadith in a longer form that will come in Kitab Salat al-Duha.Through his route, Bukhari narrated it (280) and Muslim in the Book of Menstruation (336), in abridged form as I have mentioned it here. It is a portion of a longer hadith, and mention of it will come in the chapter on Duha prayer.
