The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are five harmful creatures that may be killed within the sacred precinct: the mouse, the scorpion, the crow, the kite, and the rabid dog."In another narration, "the snake" is mentioned instead of "the scorpion."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: خمس فواسق، يقتلن في الحرم: الفأرة، والعقرب، والغراب، والحديا، والكلب العقور. وفي رواية: الحية بدل العقرب.
Bukhari related it in the Book of the Beginning of Creation (3314), and Muslim in the Book of Hajj (1198:69), both through the route of Yazid bin Zuray, who said, Mamar narrated to us, from Zuhri, from Urwa, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it. The other narration in Muslim (67) comes through the route of Qatada, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Ayesha. On this subject there are other hadiths mentioned in the Book of Hajj.
