The Prophet ﷺ forbade the killing of four creatures, the ant, the bee, the hoopoe, and the shrike.
إن النبي ﷺ نهى عن قتل أربع من الدواب: النملة، والنحلة، والهدهد، والصرد.
Reported by Abu Dawud (5267), Ibn Majah (3224), and Ahmad (3066), all through the route of Abdul-Razzaq, and it is in his Musannaf (8415), Maamar told us, from Zuhri, from Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin Utba, from Ibn Abbas, who mentioned it.Ibn Hibban (5646) also reported it through the route of Ibn Jurayj and Aqeel, from Zuhri, with the same wording. Its isnad is sahih.
