The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, "Which deeds are best?"He replied, "That you bring joy to your believing Muslim brother, or pay off a debt for him, or feed him bread."
سئل رسول الله ﷺ أي الأعمال أفضل؟ قال: أن تدخل على أخيك المؤمن المسلم سرورا، أو تقضي له دينا، أو تطعمه خبزا.

Ibn Abu Dunya narrated it in Qada al-Hawaij (112), from Ahmad bin Jameel, who said, Ammar Abu Yaqzan, the nephew of Sufyan Thawri, narrated to us, from Muhammad bin Amr, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Ammar bin Muhammad Abu Yaqzan, for there is disagreement about him, but his hadith is hasan when he does not contradict others and does not bring anything that would be rejected from him. Ahmad bin Jameel is Marwazi, and Muhammad bin Amr is Ibn Alqama Laythi, and both of them likewise have hasan hadith.The hadith has many corroborating narrations, all of them daif, and for that reason I have refrained from mentioning them. What I have mentioned here is the best of them.
