The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not curse time, for Allah has said, 'I am time. The days and nights belong to Me. I renew them and wear them out, and I bring kings after kings.'"
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لا تسبوا الدهر، فإن الله عز وجل قال: أنا الدهر الأيام والليالي لي، أجددها وأبليها، وآتي بملوك بعد ملوك.
Imam Ahmad narrated it (10438) from Ibn Numayr, who said, Hisham bin Saad narrated to us, from Zayd bin Aslam, from Zakwan, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is hasan due to Hisham bin Saad Madani, whose hadiths are hasan when he narrates from Zayd bin Aslam, for he is among the most reliable narrators from him. Haythami said in al-Majma (8/71), Ahmad narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the sahih.
