The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent. Hospitality is for three days, and whatever is beyond that is charity."
Bazzar related it in Kashf Astar (1925), from Muhammad bin Muthanna, who said, Abu Amir told us, who said, Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad told us, from Yazid bin Had, from Abu Bakr bin Amr bin Hazm, from Abd Amr bin Uthman, from Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Amra, from Zayd bin Khalid, and he related the hadith. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad Darawardi, for his hadith is hasan. Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Amra is the Ansari, the Najjari, who was born during the time of the Prophet ﷺ.Haythami said in al-Majma (8/176), "Bazzar and Tabarani related it, and the narrators of Bazzar are the narrators of Sahih."
