When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sneezed, he would place his hand or his garment over his mouth and lower his voice.
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا عطس وضع يده أو ثوبه على فيه، وخفض- أو غض- من صوته.
Abu Dawud (5029), Tirmidhi (2745), and Ahmad (9662) all narrated it from the hadith of Yahya bin Saeed, from Ibn Ajlan, who said, Sumayy (he is Abu Abdullah the Madinan) told me, from Abu Salih (he is Zakwan Samman), from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Ibn Ajlan, whose name is Muhammad, and he is hasan al-hadith. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith."
