The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The believer wears down his devils just as one of you wears down his camel during travel."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: إن المؤمن لينضي شياطينه كما ينضي أحدكم بعيره في السفر.
Ahmad (8940) narrated it from Qutayba bin Saeed, who said, Ibn Lahia related to us, from Musa bin Wardan, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Ibn Lahia, about whom there is well-known discussion, but Qutayba bin Saeed's narration from him is sound.His saying "linḍi" means to overcome, just as a rider overcomes his camel.
