A man passed through the mosque carrying arrows, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Hold them by their tips."In another narration, a man passed through the mosque with arrows whose tips were exposed, and he was ordered to grasp them by their tips so that he would not scratch any Muslim.
مر رجل في المسجد بسهام، فقال له رسول الله ﷺ: أمسك بنصالها. وفي رواية: أن رجلا مر بأسهم في المسجد، قد أبدى نصولها، فأمر أن يأخذ بنصولها، كي لا يخدش مسلما.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Fitnah (7073), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Righteousness and Maintaining Ties of Kinship (2614:120), both through routes from Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Amr bin Dinar, that he heard Jabir say it with the first wording, and he mentioned it.Bukhari also narrated it (7074), and Muslim (2614:121), both through routes from Hammad bin Zayd, from Amr bin Dinar, from Jabir, mentioning it with the second wording.
