The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah does not look at your appearances or your wealth, but He looks at your hearts and your deeds."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن الله لا ينظر إلى صوركم وأموالكم، ولكن ينظر إلى قلوبكم وأعمالكم.
Muslim narrated it in Birr and Silah (2564:34) from Amr Naqid, who said, Kathir bin Hisham narrated to us, who said, Jafar bin Barqan narrated to us, from Yazid bin Asam, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.As for what has circulated on the tongues of a number of scholars and others, "Allah does not look at your outward forms or your deeds, but He looks at your hearts," this has not reached us through a chain that would establish something like it, and it contradicts what is found in the sahih hadith, as Bayhaqi said in Asma wal-Sifat (2/426).
