Some bedouins came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked, "Do you kiss your children?"The companions replied, "Yes."The bedouins said, "But by Allah, we do not kiss ours."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What can I do if Allah has stripped mercy from you?" In another wording, "from your heart."
قدم ناس من الأعراب على رسول الله ﷺ فقالوا: أتقبلون صبيانكم؟ فقالوا: نعم، فقالوا: لكنا والله ما نقبل، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: أو أملك إن كان الله نزع منكم الرحمة وفي لفظ: من قلبك الرحمة.
