The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray while carrying Umama, the daughter of Zaynab, daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, whose father was Abu al-As bin Rabia bin Abd Shams. When he prostrated, he would set her down, and when he stood up, he would carry her again.
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يصلي وهو حامل أمامة بنت زينب بنت رسول الله ﷺ، ولأبي العاص بن ربيعة بن عبد شمس، فإذا سجد وضعها، وإذا قام حملها.
Malik narrated it in Jami al-Salah (87), from Amir bin Abdullah bin Zubayr, from Amr bin Salim Zarqi, from Abu Qatada Ansari, and he mentioned it.Bukhari narrated it in al-Salah (516), and Muslim in al-Masajid (543:41), both of them through the route of Malik, similarly.
