I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The deeds of the children of Adam are presented every Thursday, the eve of Friday, and the deeds of one who severs ties of kinship are not accepted."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ قال: إن أعمال بني آدم تعرض كل خميس ليلة الجمعة فلا يقبل عمل قاطع رحم.
Ahmad (10272) and Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (61) both narrated it through Khazraj bin Uthman Saadi, from Abu Ayub, the freed slave of Uthman, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned it. In Bukhari's version there is a story at the beginning. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Khazraj bin Uthman Saadi and Abu Ayub, the freed slave of Uthman bin Affan, for both of them are hasan narrators of hadith.
