The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever wishes for his life to be extended, his provision to be expanded, and an evil death to be averted from him, let him fear Allah and maintain ties with his relatives."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: من سره أن يمد له في عمره، ويوسع له في رزقه، ويدفع عنه ميتة السوء، فليتق الله، وليصل رحمه.
Abdullah bin Ahmad narrated it in his additions to the Musnad (1213), and Hakim (4/160), both through the route of Mamar, from Abu Ishaq, from Asim bin Damra, from Ali, who mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Asim bin Damra, for he is hasan al-hadith. Munziri deemed its chain of transmission jayyid in Targheeb wal-Tarheeb (3821).A note, "from Ali" is missing from the printed edition of al-Mustadrak, but it is recorded in Dhahabi's Talkhis, printed in its margin.
