The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hardness of heart and harshness are found in the East, while faith is found among the people of Hijaz."
قال رسول الله ﷺ غلظ القلوب والجفاء في الشرق، والإيمان في أهل الحجاز.
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on Faith (53), from Ishaq bin Ibrahim, who said, "Abdullah bin Harith Makhzumi informed us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said, 'Abu Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir bin Abdullah,'" and then he related it.
