The Prophet ﷺ said, "Charity is due from every Muslim."They asked, "What if he has nothing to give?"He replied, "Then let him work with his hands, benefiting himself and giving in charity."They asked, "What if he is unable, or does not do so?"He replied, "Then let him help one in distress who is in need."They asked, "What if he does not do that?"He replied, "Then let him enjoin what is good," or he said, "what is right."They asked, "What if he does not do that?"He replied, "Then let him refrain from evil, for that is charity from him."
قال النبي ﷺ: على كل مسلم صدقة قالوا: فإن لم يجد؟ قال: فيعمل بيديه فينفع نفسه ويتصدق قالوا: فإن لم يستطع أو لم يفعل؟ قال: فيعين ذا الحاجة الملهوف قالوا: فإن لم يفعل؟ قال: فيأمر بالخير أو قال: بالمعروف قال: فإن لم يفعل؟ قال: فيمسك عن الشر فإنه له صدقة.
