The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is not one of us who does not show mercy to our young and respect to our elders."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ليس منا من لم يرحم صغيرنا، ويوقر كبيرنا.
Bukhari narrated it in Adab al-Mufrad (353), and Ibn Abu Dunya in "Spending on the Family" (186), and Hakim graded it sahih (4/176). All of them narrated it through Abdullah bin Wahb, who said, Abu Sakhr narrated to us, from Yazid bin Abdullah bin Qusayt, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Abu Sakhr, who is Humayd bin Ziyad, a narrator whose hadith is hasan. Hakim said, "This is a hadith with a sahih chain."
