Allah says, "Whoever humbles himself before Me like this," and Yazid turned the inside of his palm toward the ground and brought it close to the earth, "I will raise him up like this," and he turned the inside of his palm toward the sky and lifted it upward.
يقول الله تبارك وتعالى من تواضع لي هكذا- وجعل يزيد باطن كفه إلى الأرض وأدناها إلى الأرض- رفعته هكذا وجعل باطن كفه إلى السماء ورفعها نحو السماء.
It was narrated by Ahmad (309), Bazzar (175), and Abu Yaala (187), all of them from the hadith of Yazid bin Harun, from Asim bin Muhammad bin Zayd, from his father, from his father, from Umar, who related it.Bazzar said, "We do not know this hadith to be narrated from the Prophet ﷺ with this wording except from Umar through this chain of transmission, and there is no other hadith narrated from Umar through this chain except this one."I say, its narrators are trustworthy, and there is no defect in it. However, his statement "like this," followed by Yazid bin Harun's tafsir, contains something unusual, for Yazid did not attribute this tafsir to the Prophet ﷺ.
