I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Pride and arrogance are found among the loud-voiced camel herders, the people of the wool tents, while tranquility is found among the people of sheep. Faith is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: الفخر والخيلاء في الفدادين أهل الوبر، والسكينة في أهل الغنم، والإيمان يمان والحكمة يمانية.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Virtues (3499) from Abu Yaman, who said, Shuayb informed us, from Zuhri, who said, Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman informed me that Abu Hurairah said (then he mentioned the hadith). Muslim also related it in the Book of Faith (52:88) from Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman Darimi, who said, Abu Yaman informed us with his chain, similarly. In another version with him, "Pride and arrogance are found among the owners of camels, while calmness and dignity are found among the owners of sheep."
