Abu Zinad Abdullah bin Zakwan reported,

A man named Rabia bin Abbad, from the tribe of Banu al-Dil, who had lived in the days of ignorance, told me, "I saw the Prophet ﷺ during the days of ignorance at the market of Dhu al-Majaz, saying, 'People, say there is no god but Allah and you will succeed.' The people were gathered around him, and behind him was a bright-faced man, cross-eyed, with two long braids, who kept saying, 'He is an apostate and a liar,' following him wherever he went. I asked about him, and they told me the lineage of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said to me, 'This is his uncle, Abu Lahab.'"
