Aishah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "People will be raised up barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised, with sweat rising to bridle them, reaching up to their earlobes."She said, "Messenger of Allah, how shameful! Will we look at one another?"He replied, "People will be too preoccupied for that. 'For every man that Day will have enough to concern him'" [Abasa 80:37].
قالت: قال رسول الله ﷺ: يبعث الناس حفاة عراة غرلا، قد ألجمهم العرق، و يبلغ شحوم الآذان فقلت: يا رسول الله، واسوأتاه، ينظر بعضنا إلى بعض؟ فقال: قد شغل الناس، {لكل أمري منهم يومئذ شأن يغنيه}
This was narrated by Ibn Abu Asim in Al-Ahad wal-Mathani (3066), Tabarani in Al-Kabir (24/34), Hakim (2/514–515), and Baghawi in his Tafsir (4/557), all of them by way of Muhammad bin Abu Ayyash, from Ata bin Yasar, from Sawda, who said, and then she related it. Its isnad is hasan on account of Muhammad bin Abu Ayyash, from whom a group of narrators reported, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Al-Thiqat, so this hadith is graded hasan because it has a supporting basis for its meaning. Ibn Kathir said in Al-Bidayah wal-Nihayah (19/374), "Its isnad is good, and it is not in the Musnad, nor in the Books," meaning the six books. Hakim said, "Sahih according to the criterion of Muslim, and the two of them did not narrate it with this wording, but they agreed upon the hadith of Hatim bin Abu Saghira, from Ibn Abu Mulayka, from Qasim, from Ayesha, in a shortened form."I say, the wording of Sawda differs from the wording of Ayesha's hadith, but Hakim narrated it (4/565) by way of Abdullah bin Wahb, who said, Amr bin Harith informed me that Saeed bin Abu Hilal told him that he heard Uthman bin Abdul-Rahman Qurazi say, I recited to Ayesha the word of Allah , "You have indeed come to Us alone, just as We created you the first time" [Anam 6:94], and she said, "O Messenger of Allah, how shameful! Will the men and the women be gathered together, each looking at the other's nakedness?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On that day every person among them will have concerns enough to occupy him", meaning the men will not look at the women, nor the women at the men, each being preoccupied and diverted from the other.Hakim said, "Its isnad is sahih." Dhahabi took issue with this, saying, "There is a break in it."The content of this narration strengthens the narration of Sawda, following the approach of many scholars, and it appears from it that Ayesha herself would sometimes relate it in a shortened form and at other times in full detail.
