The Prophet ﷺ said, "It will be said to the companion of the Quran, 'Recite and ascend, and recite with measured tones as you used to do in the worldly life, for your station will be at the last verse you recite.'"
عن النبي ﷺ قال: يقال لصاحب القرآن: اقرأ وارق، ورتل كما كنت ترتل في الدنيا، فإن منزلتك عندآخر آية تقرؤها.
Reported by Abu Dawud (1464), Tirmidhi (3141), and Ahmad (6799), and graded sahih by Ibn Hibban (766) and Hakim (1/552), all of them through routes from Sufyan (that is, Thawri), who said, Asim bin Bahdala told me, from Zirr, from Abdullah bin Amr, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Asim bin Bahdala, for his hadith is hasan. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith."
