The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Surah Tabarak is the one that shields from the punishment of the grave."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: سورة تبارك هي المانعة من عذاب القبر.
Abu Shaykh narrated it in Tabaqat Muhaddithin bi Isbahan, in the biography of his teacher Ishaq bin Ibrahim bin Jameel (526), saying, Ishaq narrated to us, Ahmad bin Mani narrated to us in Kitab Fadail Quran, Abu Ahmad Zubayri narrated to us, Sufyan (that is, Thawri) narrated to us, from Asim, from Zirr bin Hubaysh, from Abdullah, who said, then he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan, due to Abu Ahmad Zubayri, Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Zubayr Asadi, of whom Ibn Main and Nasai said, "There is no harm in him," and Abu Zura said, "Truthful."And also due to Asim, that is Ibn Bahdala, of whom Ibn Main said, "There is no harm in him."Abdul-Razzaq (6025) and Hakim (2/498) also narrated it through the route of Abdullah bin Mubarak, both of them (Abdul-Razzaq and Ibn Mubarak) transmitting from Sufyan Thawri with his chain, as a stopped report attributed to Abdullah bin Masud. The stopped version is more sound than the elevated one, except that it carries the ruling of an elevated report, since it concerns matters of the unseen, and it has indeed come in elevated form as well.
