Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

Jabir reported, "We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a Friday when a small supply of food came in for sale, and the people went out to it, so that only twelve men remained, and I was among them. Then Allah Most High revealed, "And when they see some trade or amusement, they rush off to it and leave you standing" [Jumuah 62:11], to the end of the verse. In another narration: the Prophet ﷺ, as Hilal related, was delivering the sermon standing on Friday when a caravan arrived from Syria, and the people turned aside toward it.In yet another narration: the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ hurried out to it until only twelve men remained with him, among them Abu Bakr and Umar.
