The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If religion were at the Pleiades, a man from Persia, or he said, from the sons of Persia, would reach it and bring it back."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لو كان الدين عند الثريا لذهب به رجل من فارس- أو قال: من أبناء فارس- حتى يتناوله.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of the Virtues of the Companions (2546) through several routes from Abdul-Razzaq, who said, Mamar informed us, from Jafar Jazari, from Yazid bin Asam, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he related it.The miracle of the Prophet ﷺ became manifest in his saying, "the people of Faris," meaning the non-Arabs who dwelt in the lands beyond the river, for from among them emerged the scholars of hadith, the exegetes, the jurists, the specialists in legal theory, the linguists, and other scholars of Islam.
