Aisha said, "I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ come out from relieving himself without touching water."
ﷺ: قالت: ما رأيت رسول الله ﷺ خرج من غائط قط إلا مس ماءا.
Ibn Majah (354) and Ibn Hibban (1441) both narrated it from the hadith of Abu Ahwas, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Aswad, from Ayesha, who said, and then she related it. The wording is that of Ibn Majah, and its isnad is sahih. Ibn Hibban added, "I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fast the ten days at all." Ibn Majah mentioned this part in the Book of Fasting (1729). What is meant by "the ten" is the nine days from the beginning of the month of Dhul-Hijjah.
