Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

On the day of Badr, while the Prophet ﷺ was in his shelter, he said, "I beseech You by Your covenant and Your promise. O Allah, if You will, You shall not be worshipped after this day."Abu Bakr took him by the hand and said, "That is enough, Messenger of Allah. You have pleaded earnestly with your Lord."The Prophet ﷺ was wearing his coat of mail. He went out reciting, "The multitude will be routed and will turn their backs in flight. Indeed, the Hour is their appointed time, and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter." [Qamar 54:45–46]
