Anas bin Malik came to Walid bin Abdul-Malik, who asked him, "What did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say about the Hour?"Anas replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'You and the Hour are like these two,'" gesturing with two fingers.
قدم أنس بن مالك على الوليد بن عبد الملك، فسأله: ماذا سمعت من رسول الله ﷺ يذكر به الساعة؟ قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: أنتم والساعة كهاتين.
Ahmad (13336) narrated it, and this is his wording, as did Hakim (4/494), both of them through the route of Uzai, who said, Ismail bin Ubaydullah narrated to us, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is sahih.A note, in Hakim's version it appears that he came to "Walid bin Yazid," but Dhahabi corrected this, saying, "He actually came to Walid bin Abdul-Malik," and this is the correct version.
