The Prophet ﷺ said, "If You forgive, O Allah, You forgive abundantly, and what servant of Yours has not committed sin?"
في قوله تعالى {الذين يجتنبون كبائر الإثم والفواحش إلا اللمم}
قال النبي ﷺ: إن تغفر اللهم تغفر جما وأي عبد لك لا ألما.
Reported by Tirmidhi (3284), Ibn Jareer in his Tafsir (27/66), and Hakim (2/469), all through the hadith of Zakariya bin Ishaq, from Amr bin Dinar, from Ataa, from Ibn Abbas, who related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih gharib hadith, we do not know it except through the hadith of Zakariya bin Ishaq." Hakim said, "Sahih according to the standard of the two shaykhs."As for His saying, "except al-lamam", this is a discontinuous exception, meaning "but al-lamam," for they did not count al-lamam among the major sins and shameful deeds.And His saying, "He knows best about you when He created you from the earth, and when you were embryos in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim purity for yourselves, He knows best who is truly pious" [Najm 53:32].
